At Sweet as Yoga you can nourish your body and your mind, and take 75 minutes for yourself in a safe, quiet place.

My journey with yoga began 23 years ago. The founder of my school Yehudi Menuhin was one of the very first westerners to bring yoga here from India and so, of course, we practised it at school. Not very much, only once a week, but enough to make me excited about it.

Throughout my adult life I carried on practising. Pregnancy yoga when I was – well - pregnant and a 10-year love affair with Ashtanga (a very dynamic, aerobic practice with a set sequence that makes you sweat. A LOT.) After Ashtanga and I parted ways, I moved more into the vinyasa flow style. It is still dynamic but a bit softer and less prescribed, which is how I like it.

About three years ago, I realised that I really wanted to share everything I had learned over my years on the yoga mat and so I embarked on a teacher training course with Jeff Phenix and Susannah Hoffman at Triyoga in London. Now I am fully qualified and I love teaching my own classes.

My style of teaching draws on everything I have ever learned in both yoga and performing. You will have fun, be challenged, be safe, but most of all learn about your own body and your own mind.

Group classes are held at my home studio near Hemel Hempstead Station (HP30DZ) at 9.30am on Mondays during term-time.

Delicious, restorative classes are held in the evening from time to time and they are not to be missed. See the website or Facebook page for upcoming events.

One drop-in class costs £10

I want to make sure that I know about any current injuries you are suffering from or conditions that you have so that you be safe and happy during your practice, so please make sure you inform me of anything funky going on at the start of class.
